Karnataka State Science Council is organising district and state level science exhibition competition tomorrow. The event is organised in order to mark the centenary celebrations of the KLE organisation.
The competition will be held in association with Education Department and KLE Institution. Primary school, high school, pre-university and under graduate students can participate in the competitions.
Among the participants from primary schools, two teams from rural schools and two teams from urban schools will be selected. The topics for primary school students are ‘Renewable resources of energy’ and ‘Pollution control’. For high school students, teams will also be considered on the same basis.
The topics for high school students are ‘Applied Mathematics’ and ‘Conservation of biodiversity’. Two teams each will be selected from PU and degree participants. They can choose the topic between ‘Smart City’ and ‘Communication and satellites’. 10 teams will be selected from all the districts and sent to the state level.
First prize winners at state level competitions will be awarded with Rs 25,000. Second prize will be Rs 15,000 and third prize winners will be awarded Rs 10,000 and certificates. The students selected for the state level competitions have to attend the competitions along with their guide/teacher on October 6 and 7. KLE Society will bear the travel, food and accommodation expenses of the state level participants.
Mysuru district level competitions will be held on September 17 at Gopalaswamy High School, Nanjumalige. Interested schools can enrol the names of their students with G B Santhosh Kumar – 8105503863.
