DK Shivakumar finally gets bail in money laundering case

Prime News, National, Karnataka, New Delhi, October 23:- A Rose Avenue Court in Delhi on Wednesday granted conditional bail to former Karnataka minister and Congress leader DK Shivakumar. The legislator has been granted bail on health grounds after 48 days.

The court has ordered that Shivakumar cannot leave India without the court’s permission. He should present himself before the court when summoned. He has also been asked to furnish two Rs 25 lakh bond and two sureties.

Congress’ troubleshooter Shivakumar was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on September 3 in a money laundering case. He was lodged in Tihar Jail under judicial custody.

Shivakumar, a seven-time MLA in Karnataka, was booked along with Hanumanthaiah,  an employee at Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi and others for alleged offences under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
