Prime News, Karnataka, Doctors, Health, Medical Science, Media, Mysuru, July 1:- District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar has extended his wishes on National Doctors’ Day today (July 1).
In his media release, he said, “Doctors are like gods and their service is selfless and unparalleled. Whatever the disease is, doctors have a remedy. The world is struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite facing a tough situation, the doctors have been treating patients and they deserve a pat on their backs.”
Somashekar said, “Even when they knew it was contagious, doctors did not hesitate to treat the patients. They all have a family like us but they are forthcoming when it comes to offering services. We all need to salute them.”
The minister had a word of advice for the public. “Be careful always. Stay masked, maintain social distance and keep sanitising your hands frequently.”
Somashekar greets journalists
The minister also extended greetings to journalists on the occasion of World Press Day (July 1). He said, “The role of newspapers in our day-to-day life is crucial. Newspapers play an important role in correcting the mistakes in society. Journalism plays an important role in society and no wonder they say Pen is mightier than the sword.”
Somashekar said, “We should praise the work done by the journalists. No matter what the condition is, they are out in the field to report. Many have lost lives while on duty but they never shy away from their responsibility.” (MR/GK)
