Mysuru, March 12:- Former deputy chief minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader K S Eshwarappa took a jibe at PWD minister H D Revanna and wondered whether he doesn’t know to apologise.
He was speaking to media persons at a private hotel in the city on Tuesday.
“Janata Dal (Secular) has a woman as its party symbol. But their statements are disrespecting women. They are speaking cheaply about Sumalatha Ambareesh. Revanna has not yet apologised for his statement. Instead of him, JD(S) state president AH Vishwanath, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and Nikhil Kumaraswamy have apologised. I urge H D Deve Gowda to make Revanna apologise or change the party symbol to some animal,” he added.
“Youths are willing to see Narendra Modi as prime minister again. BJP has a strong base in all 28 constituencies in the state. We won 104 seats in the Assembly elections. The name Narendra Modi is attracting voters. We are aiming to win at least 20-25 seats. After the entire nation is united, what can petty parties do against BJP,” Eshwarappa said.
“The state coalition government has done nothing but fighting for power. People are fed up with this government. People are looking at JD(S) in disgust because of the family politics of H D Deve Gowda. If he had 28 children, he would have made each one of them contest from all the 28 constituencies. Or else, he would have cleared it with 14 sons and 14 daughter in-laws. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have that many children. He has two grandsons and they are contesting the election. His entire family is contesting,” he said.
Former minister Aravinda Limbavali, MP Pratap Simha, MLA L Nagendra, BJP city president Dr B H Manjunath and others were present. (MR/KS).
