Don’t elect person who played with the future of students: K S Shivaram

Mysuru, March 5:- “Janata Dal (Secular) has given a ticket to former vice chancellor of University of Mysore (UoM) Prof K S Rangappa as he is the relative of former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda. People of Chamaraja Constituency should never believe Prof Rangappa. He has spoiled the future of lakhs of students. He is unfit to go to Vidhana Soudha,” said the president of Mysuru VV Ulisi Horata Samiti, K S Shivaram at a press meet held in the city on Saturday.

“The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) irregularity is one of the biggest educational corruptions the state has ever witnessed. We haven’t mentioned anyone’s name.  Why Prof Rangappa is scared if he hasn’t made money? Former chief minister M Veerappa Moily had mentioned the name of a previous vice-chancellor but didn’t take out anyone’s name in particular. But Prof Rangappa has called Moily for an open debate,” he said.

President of Vishwamanava Yuva Vedike M J Suresh Gowda and others were present. (MR/KS).
