Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram project’s 2nd phase begins

 MLA H P Manjunath on the occasion gave details of various projects in different stages of completion

 MLA H P Manjunath performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the Rs one-crore Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram project.

Speaking after inaugurating the project, he said that Rs 4, 50,000 has been sanctioned towards the construction of the compound for the building, the work of which will begin soon.

Similarly, Rs six crore has been sanctioned towards the construction of D Devaraj Urs Bhavan. Also, Rs 10 crore has been sanctioned towards the development of Devaraj Urs native village Kallahalli, he noted.

He further said that plans are afoot to construct a park at the end of the hanging bridge. So to complete the project, Rs 55 lakh has been sanctioned.

Also, Rs seven crore and 20 lakh has been sanctioned under SEP and TSP Scheme. Similarly, Rs five crore has been sanctioned towards the construction of Hanagod and Panchavalli Road whose work is yet to begin.
