Mysuru, November 19:- Dr Renu Agrawal, formner chief scientist and rural programme coordinator of CFTRI has been nominated as a national evaluator by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, for various events in the upcoming National Children’s Science Congress to be held at Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) from December 26-30.
It is a flagship programme of the National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Government of India. The primary objective of the Children’s Science Congress is to make a forum available to children in the age-group of 10-17 years, both from the formal school system as well as from out of school, to exhibit their creativity, innovativeness and their ability to solve societal problems using the method of science.
The National Children’s Science Congress is being organised by Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) which is the state nodal agency involving schools from the diverse socio-economic background. (MR)
