Mysuru, January 4:- “TB identification drive will be held in the district from January 12. We have decided to work hard to make the district TB-free,” said District TB control officer Dr Ravi here on Thursday.
“The drive has already begun in the district from January 2. Treat TB as an enemy and TB patient as a friend. The TB identification and treatment drive will be held from January 12. Tests and X-ray will be held by visiting houses. Identified patients will be provided with free medicines. The drive is being organised by making teams for the population of 50 – 60,000,” he informed.
“Blood while coughing, fever at night, weight loss, sweating at night and loss of appetite are the general symptoms of TB. It can be cured by proper treatment,” he added. (MR/KS)
