DSS blames MP Pratap Simha and MLA Manjunath for communal tension in Hunsur

Mysuru, December 9:- Member of Parliament Pratap Simha and MLA Manjunath have been indulging in selfish politics and hence, Hunsur Town is facing communal problems, alleged district convener of Dalita Sangharsha Samithi (DSS) Ningaraj Malladi at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Friday.

“MP Simha utilised the opportunity to enter Hunsur taluk following the failure of MLA and misused innocent Dalit youths for political gains. Even after a week of communal tensions in Hunsur in connection with Hanuma jayanti celebrations, not a single minister or MLA has visited the taluk,” he alleged.

“Due to the mistake of police, the religious right of the majority community is being curbed. Police and officials have been working as the puppets of the state government. The failures of the police department lead to communal tension. State government should form a committee to investigate the failure of the police department and suitable take action. What did the Superintendent of Police by deploying thousands of policemen in Hunsur? District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa should tender his resignation,” said senior leader of Dalita Sangharsha Samithi D Kumar.

“The MLA is interested only in conducting cricket and volleyball tournament, but he is not ready to safeguard his constituency,” said Devendra.
