Mysuru, June 12:- Akhila Karnataka Arundhatiar Mahasabha staged a protest, demanding permanent status for tender-based pourakarmikas near district court here on Monday.
Holding broomsticks, the protesters shouted slogans to drive homje a point. State president of the organisation, Krishna said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had promised to make 35,000 pourakarmikas permanent by March end. “But he has failed to maintain what he promised last year.”
Ganesh, Nagaraj, Dharmaraj, Prasad, Soma, Ramakrishna, Subrahmanya and others were present. (MR/KS).
