“Education will always bring success in one’s life and an educated person will secure the highest position in our society,” remarked Prof N Girigowda, former president of Karnataka Sahitya Parishat, here on Tuesday.
He was speaking after releasing a book ‘Vachanas of Sarvajna’ at Akkana Balaga School in city.
Sarvajna’s Vachanas are relevant event today though he lived 500 years ago, said Prof Girigowda and added that we must review his works to understand secular values and has remained a people’s poet.
People who have more interest in literature and culture will surely lead a successful life, opined Prof Girigowda. “Literature boosts one’s spirit and encourages taking up challenges in life.”
Prof Girigowda called upon the students to focus on education and sports and have a pragmatic approach towards life.
Writer Bannur K Raju said that Sarvajna was beacon of light in the field of education and was similar to the tallest peak in the world. “The birth of Sarvajna in India is a blessing for all Indians.”
