Education Minister Suresh Kumar interacts with SSLC students; asks them to shun fear

Mysuru, February 26:- Zilla Panchayat Mysuru, Education Department and BEO office (Nanjangud) organised an interaction programme between the SSLC students and Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Suresh Kumar at Carmel Convent School in Nanjangud on Tuesday.

“When I look at the students, I don’t see any fear of examination on their faces. But it is visible on the faces of their parents. Many have questions and confusions over the SSLC examination. The education department has organised various programmes to give clarification ahead of the SSLC examination. We have prepared a 51-minute video on the mainly asked FAQ questions. It is India’s first such attempt. I am here to interact with the students ahead of their exams,” he said.

A student of Kanakadasa High School, Ravi Kumar said that the pattern of the examination has changed. The education minister said that it would be helpful for the students in PUC.

A student of Carmel Convent School, Gagana asked about question paper leak. The minister said there was no such thing.

Student of Dodda Kavalandhe School, Maheshwari asked how to score well in Mathematics and said it takes more time to answer questions in the subject. The minister said that Mathematics examination is given half an hour more time.

A student, Asha asked whether the questions will be asked outside the textbook. The minister said that the questions will be from the textbooks only and it will be a bit tricky.

The minister advised students to take care of their health and asked parents to not pressurise their children to study. More than 350 students from about 65 schools attended the event. (MR/KS)
