Joint Commissioner Department of Income Tax Shivananda Kalakeri, said that imparting morality among children should be the priority of educational institutions.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Cultural forum of BEd Sri Nataraja Prathishtana Vatsalya Shikshana Mahavidyalaya for the academic year 2015-2016. Kalakeri said that “it was essential for children to learn moral values. The present day society is witnessing a breakdown of moral values. Some of our practices may be considered superstitious. But some have been proven scientifically. Educational in-stitutions should aim to teach these for children to have an allround personality.”He said the books would help children understand our culture, language and tradi-tions.
