Health News, Karnataka, Bengaluru, May 5:- With 8 new coronavirus cases reported on Tuesday in Karnataka, the tally has move to 659 with 28 deaths and 324 patients discharged, according to a morning media bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Karnataka.
Of the 8 cases Bengaluru Urban reported three, Bagalkote – two and Ballari, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada recorded a case each.
Patient 652 is a 30-year-old woman from Bengaluru Urban, the tracing of patient’s history is underway. Patient 653 is a 34-year-old man from Bengaluru Urban who is a contact of P-420, while P-654 is a 45-year-old man having an history of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
P-655 and P-656 are a 29-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man from Bagalkote who tested positive for the virus, both were in contact with P-367 and P-368. P-657 is a 43-year-old man from Ballari having a history of visiting Uttarakhand, while P-658 is a 51-year-old man from Dakshina Kannada who tested positive after coming in contact with P-536 and P-659 is a 28-year-old man from Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada having a history of ILI.
P-640, A 62-year-old woman from Vijayapura is having respiratory problem, COPD and asthma and was admitted to hospital on May 3. She breathed her last on May 5.
On May 5, three patients P-367, 368 and 381 were discharged from the designated Covid-19 Government Hospital. (NAV)
