Elderly man with no contact, travel history tests Covid-19 positive; area sealed down

Mysuru, April 16:- The area, Ward 40 of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) where an elderly man tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday has been sealed down completely today (April 16). Police have barricaded the surroundings of his residence and sealed down the area.

Disinfectants have been sprayed at the residence of the elderly man who tested positive and the neighbouring houses under the supervision of ward corporator Satish.

It is said that the person has no travel history or was in no contact with any employee of Jubilant Generics factory or Tablighis but still tested positive for coronavirus. It has become a headache for the district administration to find from where he got infected.

Mahadeshwara Nursing Home at Siddarthanagar in Mysuru where he got treated first for headache has also been locked down completely and the staff of the nursing home are kept in quarantine. (MR/KS)
