As part of the ‘Employee Celebration Week’, Grand Mercure Mysuru, declared a three day special celebration from September 19 to 21 for all its employees. The celebration included activities of employee engagement and recreation coupled with CSR initiatives.
The first day of the celebration week was all about recreation and a mass CSR activity for day two. The hotel organised a ‘Mysore Cyclothon’ on the second day of celebration week, on Tuesday, wherein more than 60 employees participated in spreading the message of reducing carbon foot prints and healthy living. As anapplaud to the upcoming, World Tourism day, the Cyclothon was routed through 10 major tourist attractions of the city of Mysuru. The theme of the CSR activity was in line with the global sustainability initiative of AccorHotels ‘Planet 21’. Sachin Malhotra, General Manager of Grand Mercure Mysuru flagged off the Cyclothon from the hotel which was the start and end point. The cycles trail through St Philimona Church, the Zoo, the Mysuru Palace, the Karanji Lake, the Sand Museum, the Lalith Mahal Palace, the Devaraja Market, Kukkarahalli Lake, the Rail Museum and the Mysuru Railway Station after which the cyclers returned to the hotel.
Commenting on the occasion, Sachin Malhotra congratulated every one and said, “I am delighted to be a part of this celebration every year, and this year’s celebration is even more special as it will be the first such experience of our Mysuru team.
