Despite series of talk failed to resolve the issue of Falcon Tyres Company from past one-and-half year, over hundred employees came to meet the new minister Tanveer Sait, at government guest house.
A team of employees of Falcon Tyres led by Nanjundaswamy, General Secretary, Falcon Tyres Employees Union, Thursday met the Education Minister Tanveer Sait, who is also a member of high level committee that formed to resolve the issues between the company and the employees.
“The government has failed to ensure justice for the employees in accordence with assurence given during meeting held at Vidhana Soudha on March 5 under the chirmaship of R V Deshapande, where former revenue minister V Srinivas Prasad, former labour minister P T Parameshwar Naik, MLA G T Devegowda, MLA Vasu and others,” said, Devaraj D V, president, Falcon Tyres employees Union.
Banks including PNB, south Indian bank, syndicate bank, icici banks, those having overall 80 percent stakes in the company has consulted Asset Restructure Company Edelweiss Finance for handling the issue. However, according to banks, Falcon Tyres owner Pavan Kumar Ruhia having Rs 700 crores debt in all banks.
However, the employees demanded goverment intervention to run the company as the company has halted production from past one year, creating threat to fate of employees.
