Mysuru, September 19:- Manava Bandhutva Vedike organised Anti Superstition Day to mark the 134th birth anniversary of Periyar Ramaswamy at Jaganmohan Palace on Monday.
Renowned writer Dr Siddalingaiah inaugurated the seminar.
“Every society should implement the ideas of Periyar to prosper. Periyar is a man whom we should always remember. His ideologies are relevant even today. He tried to stop casteism and superstition in the name of god,” he said.
Chairperson of Kannada Pusthaka Pradhikara, Vasundhara Bhupathi, Wilfred D’Souza, Jayakumar, Kalkunike Basavaraju, Prof Kalegowda Nagawara and others were present. (MR/BM).
