Mysuru, July 5:- Central government-aided schools of SC, ST communities have urged the state government to permit English medium education in primary schools. President of the association, Shantharaju urged the government to give permission for English medium at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Thursday.
“Starting government schools near the schools run by SC, ST administration should be stopped. The Act which existed before 1983 should be continued,” he added.
“There were 135 schools run by SC, ST communities in the district. Ten schools have already been shut down due to lack of students. The other 125 schools are also not functioning smoothly due to problems caused by others. Even after the schools maintaining good quality, the schools have been neglected,” he added.
