Mysuru, October 9:- Aiyappa Bhakta Mandali in the city staged a rally named ‘Sabarimala Ulisi’ on Tuesday morning, opposing the Supreme Court verdict, allowing all women to the Aiyappa Temple.
The march began from the premises of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple in the morning. Members of the organisation said that the Supreme Court verdict allowing all women to enter the temple is against the tradition that has been followed at the temple for decades. They said that this verdict has hurt the sentiments of the devotees.
The rally was held through Gandhi Square, K T Street, Irwin Road, Sayyaji Rao Road and culminated at Sri Sathyanarayana Temple. (MR/KS).
