Mysuru, June 12:- “Immaterial of their financial condition, it is the foremost duty of the parents to provide good education to their children. Every child has a right to education and should not be forced to work when he/she is not supposed to do so,” opined 5th additional district court judge C M Joshi here on Monday.
He was speaking after inaugurating World Anti-child Labour Day held at the Institute of Engineers, organised by district administration, labour department and district law services organisation.
“Many parents make their children to work in hotels, shops and factories to run the family. By doing this, they are actually hampering the future of their kids. At any moment of life, parents should not make their siblings become child labours,” he added.
Deputy Director of Women and Child Empowerment Department, K Radha, District Social Welfare Officer Prabha, Jagadish and others were present. (MR/KS).
