Ex-BJP functionary KS Murthy asks party to act against MLC AH Vishwanath

Prime News, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, July 22:- Former Bharatiya Janata Party functionary Kudloor Sridhar Murthy has demanded the suspension of MLC A H Vishwanath, who has spoken out against Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. T

BJP MLC A H Vishwanath

Talking to reporters at Mysuru Press Club at Agrahara here on Thursday (July 22), Sridhar said, “Vishwanath is talking rubbish without any substance. His son Amit Devarahatti is involved in illegal land dealing and what moral right has Vishwanath got to talk against the Chief Minister?

Sridhar said, “Vishwanath must be happy and grateful to Yediyurappa that he has been made an MLC. It was because of Yediyurappa’s continuous struggle that the BJP has come to power in Karnataka. Vishwanath was advised not to contest from Hunsur but he insisted and lost. If he has not been given a cabinet berth, it is because of the legal problem. His war of words against the Chief Minister and his son B Y Vijayendra is out of frustration and nothing else. Vishwanath should know he ditched Congress and later Janata Dal (Secular) to join the BJP. “

The former BJP functionary said, “There is a land grab charge against one of his sons. Because he could not get things done, Vishwanath is complaining against Yediyurappa and his family. Let him resign from his MLC post and see what the world is.”

Sridhar said, “When he was nowhere, JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy gave him rebirth and Yediyurappa helped him out now. Instead of being grateful, he is showing his true colours. Vishwanath has no right to ask Yediyurappa to resign.” (MR/KS)
