Ex-MP Neil O’Brien passes away

Neil O’Brien, a leader of the Anglo-Indian community who is credited with pioneering quizzing in the country, passed away in Kolkata on Friday.  The 82-year-old former Lok Sabha MP and three-time nominated Anglo-Indian MLA in West Bengal Assembly and President-in-Chief of the All India Anglo-Indian Association is survived by his wife Joyce and three sons — Derek (TMC MP), Andy and Barry.

In a press release, Charles Lewis, President, AIAIA Mysuru branch, committee members and members of the All India Anglo-Indian Association have condoled the death of Neil O’Brien.
