Mysuru, October 17:- Those who have been opposing the Kannada Sahitya Sammelana to be held in the city should be exiled, said Bhanu Mohan, state president of Parisara Samrakshana Samithi, at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Tuesday.
“The Sahitya Sammelana was announced in the city in December 2016 and meetings for preparation were held. Prof Champa was announced as the president of the convention. It is unfortunate that some disgruntled persons have created confusion now,” she said.
“If some irregularities were reported during the previous president’s tenure, let Bannur Raju go for legal recourse. Instead he is simply speaking against KaSaPa to media persons. Anyone trying to stop the convention will not be tolerated,” she added.
“The convention will boost the tourism industry in Mysuru. It will also help the book publishers and sellers. We should make sure that the convention is held successfully,” Bhanu Mohan said.
Malini, Purushotham, Srinivas, Raju and others were present.
