Broad thinking plays a significant role in shaping a student’s life, said film actor Dr Sridhar.
He was speaking at the inauguration of intercollegiate competition organised by University of Mysore on Thursday. Sridhar said, “Students must not restrict themselves only to academics and exams which won’t help in developing broad thinking. Today we have many academicians, scholars and researchers but people with creative thinking are lessening. Just academics won’t help one to develop creativity. Getting engaged in various cultural, arts and literary forms will lend a hand to be creative.”
“The extra-curricular activities have helped me as a bridge for all my achievements and only the cultural activities will boost energy and confidence in every individual,” he added.
Vice chancellor of University of Mysore, Prof K S Rangappa, actor Vanishree, Registrar Prof R Rajanna and others were present.
