Prime News, National and International, New Delhi, September 7:- Director General (DG) of Border Security Force (BSF) K K Sharma said that following demonetisation, there has been a drop in fake currency influx through the Indo-Bangladesh border.
He also lauded Bangladesh for taking steps to prevent smuggling and influx of such fake currency notes.
Speaking on the Rohingya infiltration, BSF DG said that BSF has got a major success in preventing the influx of Rohingya infiltrators.
He said that a large number of Rohingya refugees are present at the Indo-Bangladesh border and they try to enter India from time to time, but every time, their efforts go in vain.
Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) DG Mohammad Shafinul Islam said that Bangladesh government has installed detecting machines as well as heightened vigilance at the border to prevent the influx of fake currency. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
