Fake voter ID: MKS urges CBI probe

Mysuru, November 4:- MLA M K Somashekhar on Saturday brushed aside the allegations made by BJP leader S A Ramadas that he had used his powers to remove many voters from the list.

“Ramadas is overreacting to everything with a fear of not getting the party ticket to contest the election. He enrolled about 20,000 voters from his home with the help of two officials, Krishna and Ranganath. It should be thoroughly investigated,” Somashekhar said.

“The DC has taken steps to the request that I had made to remove the names of fake voters from the list. Though there are only two people staying at house number 5 of Srirampura, 18 names have been enrolled. Ramadas and his followers created fake voters even from vacant sites. CBI probe should be conducted to fix the culprits.   Ramadas is trying to be in the news to be remembered by the public,” he said.

“I don’t know who is Aslam. BJP is playing politics in the names of minorities. They have enrolled 20,000 voters in KR constituency. How many they would have enrolled in Chamundeshwari constituency?” the MLA asked.

Corporator Suneel, Somashekhar and others were present. (MR/KMR).
