Falcon Tyres’ revival: CM promises action after verification

Mysuru, May 29:- Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has asked the Falcon Tyres management to apply for a fresh licence and promised all help after verification.

He was speaking at a meeting regarding the revival of Falcon Tyres at his home office ‘Krishna’ in Bengaluru on Monday.

The meeting was informed that 3,700 trained labourers have come forward to work if the factory starts operations again. To restart the factory, a bank guarantee of Rs 120 crore and Rs 20 crore for basic facilities are required. An overall investment of Rs 150 crore is required for the restarting of the factory.

Kumaraswamy appreciated the labourers coming forward to work for the factory and assured of all help.

Major Industries Minister K J George, Higher Education and Mysuru District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda, PWD Minister H D Revanna, additional chief secretary of Finance Department ISN Prasad, chief secretary of industries department Gourav Gupta, secretary of the chief minister Selva Kumar and representatives of the factory were present.
