Fans hail Charlie Chaplin on birth anniversary

Entertainment News, International, (New Delhi), April 16:-Fans have been pouring their wishes on the occasion of comedy mogul, Charlie Chaplin’s 129th birth anniversary.

The hero of silent films, the worldwide icon was known to perform funny tasks which used to leave the audiences in splits.

Charlie Chaplin was born on 16th of April 1889 in England and died on 25 December 1977 at the age of 88 in Switzerland.

Fans took to Twitter to share their love and wishes for the artist.

Chaplin, originally named Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the era of silent film. Even after more than 40 years of his death, he is considered the most iconic comedic figure in the film industry.

His career spanned over 75 years, with his screen persona ‘The Tramp’ becoming a household name.
