Farmer ends life after being unable to repay loan

Mysuru, June 8:- A farmer committed suicide by consuming poison after being unable to repay loans in Hemmige village, Periyapatna taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Ramachandra Gowda (60). Ramachandra Gowda had taken a loan of Rs 7 lakhs from the Syndicate bank, Periyapatna and other debts upto Rs 3lakhs. Ramachandra was dejected after his tobacco crops failed miserably.

He was admitted to government hospital Periyapatna but succumbed to poison. A case has been filed at Periyapatna police station.
