Mysuru, March 13:- A farmer woman who had made loans to grow crops at her farm committed suicide due to crop loss at Mutturayana Hosahalli village in Hunsur taluk.
The deceased has been identified as Puttalakshmamma. She committed suicide by hanging from a tree at her farm. She has a farm of 2.13 acres. She had a loan of Rs 5.5 lakh at Indian Overseas Bank, Hunsur. She had grown ragi and tobacco at her farm but the yield was not up to the mark, leading to her death.
Hunsur Rural Police has registered a complaint. (MR/KS)
