Mysuru, January 4:- Farmers who were asking for support price for milk, expressed their anger over MLA and former minister GT Devegowda who said he has got nothing to do with it.
Farmers were staging protest over various demands including the relocation of power grid lines from farm lands. Devegowda visited the protest spot opposite DC’s office here on Friday.
The farmers said that Yachenahalli Milk Producers Union was yet to receive support price of Rs 18 lakh and asked the MLA to get it cleared by DCC Bank. The MLA said that he has got no connection with this issue.
The farmers got enraged by this answer of the MLA and said your son Harish Gowda himself is the president of MCDCC Bank and asked how could you say you got nothing to do with the problem of your constituency. As the farmers’ protest increased, the MLA left the place. (MR/KS)
