Farmers’ vow to defeat Siddaramaiah and Dr Mahadevappa in polls: Kuruburu Shanthakumar

Mysuru, April 28:- “The farmers have taken a decision in unison to defeat Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Chamundeshwari Constituency and Dr H C Mahadevappa in T Narasipura Constituency in the state Assembly polls,” said farmers’ leader Kuruburu Shanthakumar.

He was speaking at the farmers’ awareness meeting organised at Kuvempu Park, near Gun House at Fort Mohalla in the city on Saturday.

“We will create voter awareness among farmers to defeat Siddaramaiah and Dr Mahadevappa in the forthcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. We will support the candidates who will implement the manifesto of farmers,” he said.

MLA G T Devegowda and Varuna Constituency JD(S) candidate Abhishek were present at the farmers’ meeting to seek support. JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy held discussion with Kuruburu Shanthakumar over the phone and appealed to support JD(S).

He announced that awareness rally against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be held in Chamundeshwari Constituency on May 3 and against Dr H C Mahadevappa in T Narasipur on May 4. (KS, NGB)
