With significant change in the Motor Vehicle Act, the central government has now decided to increase the fee for Driver’s License (DL).
The government which had increased the fine for breaking law under Vehicle Act by four to six times higher than the previous fee, has now decided to increase the consumer service fee by three to five times higher.
The DL fee for private vehicle which was Rs. 350 is increased to Rs. 1,200; driving school license has increased from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 10,000; driving test fee is raised from Rs. 50 to Rs. 300; smart card DL fee is increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 400; learning license fee is increased from Rs. 30 to Rs. 200; renewal fee for smart card DL is increased from Rs. 50 to Rs. 200 and international DL fee is increased from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000.
Sources said that the law will be applicable along with the enforcement of change in Motor Vehicle Act.
