A four-year-old female elephant was found dead at Doddahalli forest range, recently. The pachyderm is said to have died of natural problems.
The forest department officials who were on rounds, found the carcass of the animal. Subsequently, range forest officer Nagaraju visited the spot. Elephant Doctor Nagaraj conducted the post-mortem and confirmed that it was a natural death and the elephant is aged around 3 to 4 years.
Range forest officer Prabhuswamy, Mallappa, Hucchanna, Paramesh, Ramesh and other staff were present.
