Field true Congressman  from Nanjangud, says Vishwanath

In a veiled attack against KPCC president and Home Minister G Parameshwar, former MP A H Vishwanath said that a loyalist party worker should be given ticket to contest from Nanjangud by-election. Spiking rumours that Kalale Keshavamurthy was contesting the election from the Congress, Vishwanath questioned the Home Minister, “Keshavamurthy is in JDS. How can you field someone when he isn’t even in our party?”

Saying that true Congressmen are being sidelined in the state, Vishwanath said that not even SM Krishna, Bangarappa, Siddaramaiah are real Congressmen. They migrated from other parties. Yet they received everything from the party. This is high time to recognise the true Congressmen who have been working for the party since its inception. “It’s up to CM Siddaramaiah and MP Druvanarayan to decide the candidate’s name,” he said

Vishwanath also slammed senior Congress leader Jaffer Shareef for his previous comment that the current state government has transformed into a ‘Kurubara’ government. He said that “if the leader had anything to comment on the CM, it is welcome, but using caste as a derogatory remark is not entertained.”
