Fight among state coalition partners continues

Mysuru, March 5:- It has become the order of the day. Though the coalition partners in the state, Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) claim everything is well with the government, nothing seems to be going right at the moment. With the Lok Sabha elections only a few months, Congress and JD(S) will have to get their act right, lest they may have to pay a heavy price.

In one such incident, a clash broke out at a function at Hunsur in Mysuru district on Sunday. The stage programme scheduled to be held after the groundbreaking ceremony got cancelled due to the fight.

The fight took place between the members of Congress and JD(S) after the inauguration ceremony for a 100-bed hospital. Congress members alleged the violation of protocol in the government programme, saying the image of Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara was not printed on the poster of the event and only the image of Harish Gowda, son of District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda was printed. Criticising the act, the Congress workers staged a protest on the spot and disrupted the proceedings. (MR/KS).
