Fight between me and former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa is like that of a couple, said opposition party leader, K S Eshwarappa.
Addressing the media persons on Saturday, Eshwarappa, who was in the city for the meeting of his brigade, said, “Yedyurappa has reservations about his association with the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade.” Downplaying the issue, he said, “We both are like a couple who fight but resolve it immediately and is not a permanent thing.”.
Later, he said, “I will always fight for the rights of the backward classes and Dalits. The next government will have to allocate Rs 10,000 crore for the welfare of the backward classes and Dalits in the state, even if BJP doesn’t come to power for the next term, I will fight for the welfare of Dalits and backward classes.
“The Sangola Rayana Bridage will hold a huge rally at Koodala Sangama on Republic Day and after that will focus on galvanising people from the backward classes and Dalits at taluk centres. I have joined the brigade following directions from the seers of Dalit and backward classes,” he added.
Eshwarappa said, “It’s high time for CM Siddaramaiah to set up a cabinet sub-committee to focus on the needs and welfare of Dalits and backward classes in the state.”
