First aid and CPR training for young managers held at SDMIMD in Mysuru

Prime News, Karnataka, Education, Health, Medical Science, Mysuru, October 29:- Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD),Mysuru, organised a first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) session for the students and staff members at the institute premises on Wednesday (October 27).

Dr Aravind R M is delivering a session on ‘basic first aid’ at the training programme.

The introductory session of the training programme was delivered by Dr Aravind R M, Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon from Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital, Mysuru.

Dr Aravindam explained the dos and don’ts of first aid and emphasised the importance of first aid in saving lives. Basic first aid and CPR skills are invaluable because it lets us ease and help someone until support arrives.

Dr Vaidyanathan R is seen delivering a session on CPR at the training programme.

The session on CPR was delivered by Dr Vaidyanathan R, Consultant Intensivist and Director, Critical Care and Emergency Services from Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital.

The sessions were followed by a practical demonstration of first aid and CPR by a team of instructors of Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital and EC members of the Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, Mysuru city branch.

Earlier, the team of doctors and medical staff of Cauvery Hospital were welcomed by Prof C V Sridhar, assistant professor, SDMIMD. (MR)
