Five-day Mysuru Dasara Film Festival from Sept 29 to Oct 3: Jai Prakash

DCM Govind Karjol to inaugurate film festival; galaxy of Kannada film stars to grace the occasion

Mysuru, September 27:- “Mysuru Dasara Film Festival will be held from September 29 to October 3 as part of Mysuru Dasara Festival 2019. All arrangements have been made to celebrate the Dasara Film Festival in a unique way this time,” said Dasara Film Sub-committee vice-president Jai Prakash.

Speaking at a press conference held at Vartha Bhavan in the city on Friday, he said that the film festival will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol at Kalamandir on September 29 at 10 am. Kannada film stars Jaggesh, Ganesh, Dolly Dhananjay, Sadhu Kokila, Dhanush Gowda, actresses Ashika Ranganath, Tara Anuradha, Harshitha Gowda, Shubha Raksha and Shubha Poonja will be present.

“The movies will be screened at Inox multiplex at Mall of Mysore from September 29 to October 3. Registration for the film festival has been started from September 22 at the Information and Public Relations Department at Dhanvanthri Road here. World and Kannada cinema will be screened on 3 screens in Inox. The World Cinema screen is open only to public above 18 years of age. Participants to the Dasara Film Festival must submit a photocopy of Aadhaar / voter identity card / SSLC certificate for age proof along with two passport size photos. The registration fee is Rs 400 for the public and Rs 200 for students with school or college identity cards. For more information, call cell: 94480 92049,” he said.

He also informed that on September 29, the movie ‘Bell Bottom’ will be screened at 1 pm, ‘Premier Padmini’ at 4 pm and ‘Nathicharami’ at 7 pm. On September 30, ‘The Villain’ at 10 am, ‘Uppina Kaagadha’ at 1 pm and ‘KGF’ at 7 pm; on October 1, ‘Nata Saarvabouma’ at 10 am, ‘Nemodha Boolya’ at 1 pm, ‘Gubbi Mele Brahmastra’ at 4 pm and ‘I Love You’ at 7 pm; on October 2, ‘Yajamana’ at 10 am, ‘Ammachi Yemba Nenapu’ at 1 pm; on October 3, ‘Sooji Dhaara’ at 10 am and ‘Gubbi Mele Brahmastra’ will be screened at 7 pm.
