Flouting corona guidelines will attract penalty: S T Somashekar

Mysuru, July 1:- “Those who don’t wear masks while coming out of their homes will be fined. All shops should be closed by 6 pm. People’s movement will also be prohibited after 6 pm,” said district in-charge minister ST Somashekhar. He was speaking to media after holding a meeting with Deputy Commissioner, police department, health department officials at the new DC office complex on Wednesday.

“Responsibility of people is important in controlling coronavirus pandemic. Police will impose fine on those who come out without wearing masks. Social distancing has to be maintained. Now, we are requesting the public to maintain social distancing, if they don’t understand, it will also invite fine,” he said.

“Police officials above the age of 55 will have to undergo medical check-up based on priority. District administration and a team of doctors are working effectively. Public cooperation is required. ASHA volunteers from all districts will get the financial package as announced by the state government.  I am personally visiting all the districts. All 42,685 ASHA volunteers will receive the package in 15 days,” he added.
