Flower and retail shops at Devaraja Market to remain closed from Oct 23 to 25

Mysuru, October 21:- The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde has directed the owners of flower and retail shops at Devaraja Market in the city to remain closed from October 23 to 25 to curb overcrowding of people at the market premises on the occasion of Ayudha puja and Vijayadashami celebrations.

The MCC commissioner has asked the flower vendors of Devaraja Market to shift to J K Grounds, opposite Mysuru Railway offices, on Sheshadri Iyer Road here, to resume business in the interest of the customers.

The decision to shift the flower vendors from Devaraja Market to J K Grounds for 3 days has been taken in view of the increase in Covid-19 cases in the city, Hegde added. (NGB, KS, MN)
