Flyover issue: MP Pratap Simha hits out at Siddaramaiah, HD Kumaraswamy

Mysuru, May 28:- Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha has hit out at former chief ministers Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy who have opposed naming of Yelahanka flyover in Bengaluru after freedom fighter Veer Savarkar.

“Savarkar was a great patriot and freedom fighter. I don’t understand why they are opposing the government move. Opposition parties should stop such silly politics. People are intelligent. Congress is still exhibiting its foolishness. Let them do constructive politics. Didn’t they remember Kanakadasa while naming government canteen after Indira Gandhi? Didn’t they remember any Kannadiga while naming Nagarahole and Bandipur forests after Nehru family? Let them first go to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and see the jail where Savarkar was imprisoned,” he said while speaking to media persons in the city on Thursday. (MR/KS)
