Mysuru, May 8:- Supporters of Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait allegedly assaulted a reporter who had been for reporting at N R Mohalla in Narasimharaja Constituency here on Monday.
The goons threatened Shivendra Urs, a stringer with The Times of India, and kept him under house arrest.
Shivendra Urs was on an assignment since Monday morning. The supporters of the minister hurled abuses at him and kept him under house arrest. They asked him not to report.
Only after Sait visited the spot, the reporter was released. Mysuru District Journalists’ Association has condemned the behaviour of the minister and his men and has decided to stage a protest in front of DC office on Tuesday.
