Free food for devotees at Dasoha Bhavan atop Chamundi Hills: DC

Mysuru, February 23:- Deputy Commissioner D Randeep in an official communique has instructed officials to provide free food for the devotees and visitors of Chamundeshwari Temple at Dasoha Bhavan atop Chamundi Hills in the morning and evening along with the lunch from March 1.

The breakfast will be served between 7:30 am and 10 am. Evening food will be provided between 7:30 pm and 9 pm. The menu includes vegetable bath and rava kesaribath on Mondays, khara and sweet pongal on Tuesdays, bisibelebath and kesaribath on Wednesdays, sweet and spicy avalakki on Thursdays, vegetable bath and jaggery rice on Fridays, vangi bath and rava kesaribath on Saturdays, tomato bath and jaggery rice on Sundays. The DC instructed the officials to serve quality food to the devotees.

The food will be served only for devotees and tourists and not the local people. The DC also instructed setting up of CCTV cameras in the the kitchen, laddu preparation centre, dining hall, entrance and queues. (MR/KS.)
