Vice Chancellor of Karnataka State Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University (KSGHMPAU), Dr Sarvamangala Shankar, who is accused of forging signatures of five Syndicate members, has written a letter to Karnataka Governor to order a thorough invesatigation into the allegations made at her.

The VC is accused of forging signatures of Syndicate members of the university – C R Himanshu, Vasundara Hegde, Fayaz Khan, Nagachandrika Bhat and A B Prashanth. It is said that the members had obtained a letter through RTI which is said to be sent by the VC to the Minister of Higher Education.

Dr Sarvamangala Shankar has claimed that she does not require the signature of Syndicate members to write a letter against the Registrar as she herself is the head of the institution.  Thus, she has written a letter to the Governor to conduct a thorough investigation against the forging charges against her.

In this context, Dr Sarvamangala had lodged a complaint with Lakshmipuram Police in city, accusing Registrar Rangaswamy of harassing and threatening her.
