Mysuru, September 28:- Former principal of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyshala, B S Srikantaiah, died in the wee hours of Monday (September 28). Srikantaiah worked as headmaster of the school before becoming principal.
President of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Swami Muktidananda has condoled his death.
He said, “Ramakrishna Vidyashala was established in 1953. Right from day one, he worked hard for the growth of the school. Even after retirement, he was working as a convener of the school. He was a role model for teachers, staff and students and looked after them with great love and affection. His concern for the school was unparalleled. His contribution to our school will always be remembered.”
Muktidananda added, “Srikantaiah was a staunch follower of Sri Ramakrishna, his wife Sharaddevi and Swami Vivekananda and imbibed their principles. He was a great soul who spent a purposeful life. In his death, we have lost a gem of a person and a true guide. Let his soul rest in peace.” (MR/KS)
