Mysuru, July 1:- Guddali puja was performed for Mysuru Export Centre here on Sunday. Former minister HS Mahadeva Prasad performed the foundation stone laying ceremony (guddali puja) for construction of the building at a cost of Rs 8 crore.
Chamaraja Constituency MLA L Nagendra, former MLA Vasu, former mayor P Vishwanath, chairman R Guru of NR Group, Dr N Muthukumar, chairman, CII Karnataka and President and Whole Time Director, Automotive Axles; Bhaskar Kalale, secretary Sathyendra; Suresh Kumar Jain, general secretary, Mysuru Industries Association, KS Mallesh, Raghuram Prakash, Shivanna, Sridhar, KC Shivakumar and others were present.
When Manivannan was the deputy commissioner of Mysuru in 2008, the district administration had proposed for construction of the export centre building. The building is being constructed after 11 years of the proposal. The first phase of work is being held at a cost of Rs 4.5 crore and the second phase at Rs 4 crore. This will be the first full-fledged export centre in Mysuru. (KS, NGB)
