Founder’s Day held at Hindustan First Grade College

Mysuru, June 22:- Founder’s Day was celebrated at Hindustan First Grade College at JP Nagar 3rd Stage here on Thursday.

Issac Gerard, chief HR officer, Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai, Capt Bharadwaj, chief flying Instructor of Orient Flights Aviation Academy were the chief guests.

The programme was initiated by an invocation song by Harini and group, students of BCom. Nagsri S, assistant professor of English welcomed the gathering. Eshwar V, assistant professor of commerce, read the extracts from “Wheels and Wings” – An autobiography of Dr KCG Verghese, founder of Hindustan Group of Institutions.

Dr Verghese is a great visionary, who built the entire edifice of the Hindustan Group of Institutions. His profound qualities of enthusiasm, perseverance, vision and live networking of Dr  Verghese, created a springboard for many aspirants to mould their careers.

A VT presentation related to the life of Dr Verghese, which included his life story, passions, challenges, eminent personalities’ opinion regarding Dr  Verghese was held on the occasion.

Issac Gerard highlighted the importance of carrying the right attitude and the importance of positivity in one’s life. He rewarded the selected students who answered the questions related to Dr Verghese with the copy of “Wheels and Wings.”

A special activity of planting the saplings in the campus was held to mark the celebrations.

Dr CJ Priya, principal, Hindustan First Grade College, Abel Mathew Prasad, special officer, teaching and non-teaching faculty of Hindustan First Grade College and Orient Flights Aviation Academy participated in the celebrations.

Wing Commander Pandurangi, aviation manager, Orient Flights Aviation Academy rendered the vote of thanks. (MR)
