Mysuru, January 18:- Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, is holding four-day Faculty Development and Enrichment Programme on “Control systems” from January 16 to 19 for faculty members of engineering branches ECE/EIE/EEE/TCE/MECH interested in the field of control engineering.
The chief guest Dr Shreesha Chokkadi addressed the audience about the requirement for enriching faculties with practical knowledge because the quality of the teachers will decide the quality of the students and thereby the next generation manpower.
Dr Muddu Madakyaru, the guest of honour, highlighted with real-time day-to-day examples, the importance of control system as a subject. Thus, the main objective of the FDEP is to train and enhance the educators in the field of control systems and to get familiar with control system applications using MATLAB tool.
Experts in the field of control engineering from MIT, Manipal; VIT, Vellore and JSS S & T, Mysuru will be delivering the key topics including time response analysis, frequency domain analysis, concepts of stability and state space analysis.
The major topics to be covered under the FDEP are ‘The concept of mathematical modelling of the physical systems, introduction to time response analysis, frequency domain analysis, co-relation between the above two, the concept of stability, state space analysis and state equations, PI, PD AND PID controller.
Participants from various colleges in and around Mysuru are participating in this FDEP.
Dr M Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW; Dr Venkatratnam C, associate professor and head were present. (MR)
